UPDATE: Hallmark star Mamie Laverock 'doing well' after 5-story hospital balcony fall: Family

Teen actor and Hallmark star Mamie Laverock, known for her role as Rosaleen Sullivan in the series “When Calls the Heart,” is on life support after falling five stories from a balcony, according to a GoFundMe page organized by her family.

According to the GoFundMe campaign, after spending two weeks in “intensive treatment” in the hospital due to a “medical emergency” that had happened earlier in May, Laverock “was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories,” per the fundraiser page, which was set up by her parents, Rob and Nicole Compton.

“She sustained life threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries and is currently on life support,” Laverock’s parents wrote.

Before “When Calls the Heart,” Laverock debuted in the 2012 rom-com “This Means War” starring Reese Witherspoon and appeared in “A Series of Unfortunate Events.”

“When Calls the Heart” (airing Sundays at 9 p.m.) is based on a series of books of the same name, and has aired on Hallmark since 2014, the New York Post described. It follows a teacher (Erin Krakow) working in a small coal mining town.

Laverock stars as Rosaleen Sullivan, a nursing student whose father was killed in a mining accident.

The show’s star, Krakow, took to Instagram asking her followers to donate to the fund.

Johannah Newmarch, who plays Laverock’s on-screen mother Molly Sullivan, also posted about Laverock on X.

The New York Post reached out to Hallmark Media for comment, to which they replied in a statement: “We are deeply saddened to hear the news about Mamie. As a beloved member of our ‘When Calls the Heart’ community, we wish her and her family peace, comfort and many prayers during this difficult time.”
