Funko unveils its upcoming Hamilton vinyl figures

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — For years fans ofLin-Manuel Miranda's Broadway musical "Hamilton" have been forced to create their own versions of Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr and Eliza Hamilton by customizing other Funko Pop! figures. You'd be surprised by how creative fans can get.

The newly-announced collection includes traditional Funko Pop! figures based on the original cast including Christopher Jackson as George Washington,Leslie Odom Jr. as Aaron Burr, Miranda as Alexander Hamilton, Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton,Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler and Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler.

For those without shelf space, there are key chains for Alexander Hamilton, Angelica Schuyler, Burr and Washington. Additionally, Walmart will have an exclusive Funko Pop! Alexander Hamilton variant.

There's no indication there will be a second series. Nonetheless, I've already submitted my request for a glittery diamond version of King George because Jonathan Groff's take on the character can only be replicated with a mirrorball shine. And, surely you've noticed, Daveed Diggs and his Thomas Jefferson have yet to be invited to the party. Maybe he's still in France.

Funko's Hamilton collection can be pre-ordered from a variety of retailers including Entertainment Earth, Walmart, Amazonand directly from Funko.Figures are expected to ship in July and are likely to sell out.

Now if we can only get Broadway to open before the end of 2021. I hope that's not just wishful thinking.
