Over two decades after the premiere of ‘Freaky Friday’ in 2003, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis reunite for the sequel, ‘Freakier Friday,’ directed by Nisha Ganatra.

Watch the trailer for the new ‘Freakier Friday’:

This time, fans are in for a double swap and multigenerational twist, creating even more chaos than before. In the film, Curtis and Lohan reprise their mother-daughter roles as Tess and Anna Coleman, respectively, but there’s a new generation of women.

The story picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter – in other words, we are going to see four women of various ages switching places.

The new cast members are played by Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. Returning cast from the original film includes Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao.

The fantasy-comedy film hits theaters August 8, 2025.
