Orchard Park, N.Y. (WHAM) - Four days after having post-cancer surgery, Jim Kelly was out at his annual youth football camp.

The former Buffalo Bills quarterback has held the camp each year at New Era Field since 1987. On Monday morning, Kelly was out on the field playing football with the kids.

"This is why I do it. I love it," Kelly said. "I mean, if you don't love it doing it for 31 years, then there's something wrong. You're just doing it. I do it because my heart's in it. I just love playing with kids, I really do."

Up next for Kelly will be a trip to Los Angeles next month, where he will be honored with the Jimmy V Award at the ESPYs.

In September, he is scheduled for another surgery in which he will receive permanent dentures.
