PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Casting directors are looking for people in the Rhode Island area to be extras in "Hocus Pocus 2."
Kendall Cooper Casting said filming will take place in Providence and the surrounding area from October through December. Production will generally take place Monday through Friday, but each day can run 12 hours or more.
The Disney production sees Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy and Bette Midler reprise their roles from the original film."Hocus Pocus 2" will debut on Disney+ in 2022.
"Three young women accidentally bring back the Sanderson Sisters to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking havoc on the world," according to the movie's Internet Movie Database entry.
The production team is looking for children and adults of all ethnicities, ages, genders and sizes.
Filmmakers are specifically looking for people with dance experience, men with shoulder-length hair or longer, and young adults between 18 and 22.
COVID-19 testing is mandatory and will be done by the production. Extras must also provide proof of vaccination. Masks will be required except when performing on camera.
SAG and nonunion talent are encouraged to apply. Extra work, testing and fittings are paid, but no travel or housing is provided.
Casting will be ongoing throughout the filming schedule.
