GRANVILLE, N.Y. (WRGB) — One of the stars of the hit Netflix series "Tiger King: has been arrested.

Timothy Lee Stark was arrested for having two active warrants out of Indiana. This happened in Granville, New York where police found him at a bed and breakfast.

Police say Stark told them he was on vacation and had planned on turning himself in.

Stark was arrested and transported to the jail by members of the Granville Village Police Department.

The Indiana Attorney General says Stark ran the Wildlife in Need organization, which claims to save and nurture animals in need until they’re ready to be released back into the wild.

The Indiana AG said that, in reality, the animals were suffering under Stark’s watch.

Police say his two warrants were for criminal contempt and for committing intimidation and battery on Indiana investigators at his home.

A witness at the bed and breakfast claimed to have heard him talking about his animals, and called police, who eventually found out he had active warrants. Officers evacuated the bed and breakfast after finding out Stark may have had a live grenade on him. Stark eventually gave himself up, but was completely cooperative. The grenade turned out to be a fake.

“He was cracking jokes and laughing the whole time he was here,"Ryan Pedone, public information officer for the Granville Police Department, said. You couldn’t have asked someone to be more cooperative than he was.”

Stark has been charged with being a fugitive from justice and is awaiting extradition back to Indiana.
