Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will still make the iconic "Start your engines!" call at the Daytona 500 on Monday.

Therace was postponedfrom Sunday because of ongoing downpours. At a news conference Sunday afternoon, the wrestler-turned-actor told reporters he's still planning to be Grand Marshal for The Great American Race.

The most exciting thing I have going on right now is being the Grand Marshal for the Daytona 500," Johnson said. "It's awesome."

Honorary starterDJ Khaledwill no longer be able to attend the race due to scheduling conflicts. The same goes for pre-race entertainer Trackhouse Racing co-owner Pitbull.

My plan for the iconic words of 'Drivers, start your engines' is just not to screw it up," Johnson said. "That's all. Maybe sound halfway cool when I do it. But also, I want to make sure that my words and my energy is a respectful reflection of what the drivers need from me, and also what the fans need."
