WASHINGTON (SBG) -- Reality television star Duane "Dog" Chapman is engaged!
In an interview with The U.S. Sun Newspaper and later on social media, Chapman confirmed he got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend, Francie Frane, at their Colorado home.
"So when I came in I was like, 'Wow, this is awesome,' " Frane, 51, told the news outlet. "Then he said, 'Come in, sit down because I need to talk to you.' And he got down on one knee and he opened the ring box and he said, 'Will you marry me and spend the rest of our lives together?' "
Chapman, 67, best known for his lead role in the series "Dog the Bounty Hunter," lost his wife and co-star, Beth Chapman, last June after battling stage II throat cancer.
"Dog" Chapman and Frane told The U.S. Sun the story of how they met. Chapman called Frane's home to see if her husband could do some work for him, not realizing that Frane's spouse had also died from cancer.
The couple confirmed they were dating in March, People reports.
As for tying the knot, the pair says they plan to get married after the coronavirus pandemic is over.
