Drake visits young girl awaiting heart transplant who did "In My Feelings" Challenge

WASHINGTON (Circa) -- Sofia Sanchez is waiting for a heart transplant but that didn't stop her from recording her own version of the "In My Feelings" Challenge.

During the challenge, participants dance to "In My Feelings," a song rapped by Drake. In her version, Sanchez invited Drake to her 11th birthday party in her hospital room.

"I just had surgery three weeks ago. The surgery was to help my heart pump," she said. "I love your music and I was hoping that you could come and cheer me up for my birthday."

CBS Chicago reports Sofia has cardiomyopathy, a condition that can lead to heart failure.

Drake took some time to visit Sofia while he was visiting Chicago as part of his nationwide music tour.

"Me and my love Sofia talking about Bieber and Owls and Basketball," Drake wrote on his Instagram page.
