WASHINGTON (Circa) -- One of Hollywood's most versatile creatives is causing a stir that went viral on social media Sunday.
Actor Donald Glover hosted "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend and released his latest single "This is America" shortly after his hosting stint ended. Glover, who goes by Childish Gambino, uses the song to give a social commentary on guns, culture, racism and police brutality.

The music video that was released together with the song was directed by Hiro Murai - a filmmaker who has also worked with Glover on his television series "Atlanta." As of Sunday morning, the music video has already been viewed over 9 million times and counting.
Glover's hit single is being released just as he gets set to star in the movie "Solo: A Star Wars Story" which will hit movie theaters on May 25th.
