(WZTV) – Dolly Parton will perform in the 94th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The country icon will sing the holiday classic “A Holly Jolly Christmas” during Cracker’s Barrel’s second-ever appearance in the parade.
While there won't be an in-person audience for the event this year, it will be nationally televised so people can watch it from the comfort of their own homes.
“I think we could all use a heaping helping of comfort right now. Nothing puts a smile on my face like sharing holiday traditions with loved ones. That’s why I’m hoping you’ll join me and Cracker Barrel for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” Parton announced. “Even though we can’t be together in person, we can help keep your traditions alive as you watch from the comfort of your home.”
For more than 90 years, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has marked the official start of the holiday season for many families. While this year’s event may be different due to the coronavirus pandemic, Cracker Barrel will have a “Home Sweet Home” float taking its country roots to Manhattan, live from 34th Street.
The float will replicate some of the restaurant’s trademark features like rocking chairs, the peg game, oil lamps and a fireplace.
To add to the fun, Cracker Barrel and Patron have teamed up to give 10 fans a new tradition. Nine winners will receive a "VIP Watch Party Package" that includes:
One grand prize winner will also receive a $250 gift card to Macy's and Cracker Barrel meals for a year (valued at $650) in place of the $100 gift cards.
