NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Dolly Parton announced on Tuesday her biopic musical Dolly: An Original Musical will officially open in Nashville at Belmont University's Fisher Center for the Performing Arts before heading to Broadway in 2026.
The musical will open with a four-week limited run starting with preview performances on Friday, July 18 to be followed by opening night on August 8. Tickets will start at $40 through the musical's website or via the Fisher Center Box Office at 615-460-2255. Parton's hits and some new songs written for the musical will be included in the show, also produced by Parton and directed by Bartlett Sher.

The production will also join with Belmont University, offering students participation in what is being called Dolly U. The program will allow for students to take part in the production, working with the cast, producers, and receive course credits in certain subjects which will support opportunities with the show.
