Country music fans who were eagerly awaiting Saturday's Jason Aldean concert in Hartford, Connecticut were met with disappointment as the show came to an abrupt end due to unforeseen circumstances.

The artist's representatives confirmed Aldean experienced heat stroke during his performance but reassured fans that he is now in stable condition and recovering well.

In a video posted to his Facebook, Aldean said he played golf prior to his concert and blamed the heat stroke on dehydration and heat exhaustion.

“It was pretty intense last night,” Aldean said. “Anybody that was at the show knows how hot it was. I knew it was coming. I was trying to get through as much of the show as I could, and eventually I knew it wasn’t going to happen and I was trying to just get off stage and figure out what was going on.”

The decision to postpone the show was made in the interest of Jason Aldean's health and well-being. While the rescheduled date is yet to be announced, the country singer's team is working on securing a new date for the performance.

The concert venue tweeted out a statement regarding the incident.

"Yesterday's Jason Aldean show will be rescheduled for a future date. We appreciate your patience as we work on rescheduling a new date, as well as the outpouring of well wishes for Jason. A rep has confirmed he is now doing well after experiencing heat stroke during last night's performance."
