Collectable roundup: The DC Shop announces the first wave of 'The Flash' merchandise
SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Heading into 2023, there were a lot of questions and few answers regarding the future of the DC Comic's cinematic future. When the studio shelved "Batgirl" in August it was abundantly clear that we were wading into uncharted waters. Would they also scrap "The Flash"? The troubling behavior of star Ezra Miller made that a possibility. Less than two months in we know the skeleton frame of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s plans for the next decade of DC Films. We also have a trailer for "The Flash" and there's a considerable amount of Batman (of the Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck variety) in it, with a release date set for June 16, 2023 – and glowing endorsements from Gunn.
As someone who celebrated his 13th birthday by going to see Tim Burton's "Batman," I have to admit that I'm incredibly excited by the opportunity to see Keaton return to the role of Batman. So, let's think positive thoughts and take a look at the new merchandise that the DC Shop has released this week.
