Chrissy Teigen was going all out to create some Christmas magic for her kids and suffered a tooth injury for her troubles.

The mom of four posted a hilarious video on Instagram with the lead up to the incident.

Chrissy was working with her kids to “grow” candy canes by crumbling up cookies and placing them in flower pots, with the kids diligently watering them every day. Then when the kids were all asleep, she would add in a different sized candy cane to make it seem like a candy cane was magically growing from the cookie dirt.

It was all going adorably well until several days in when Chrissy tried to open one of the larger size candy canes and somehow knocked her own tooth out.

“I’ve been working on candy cane-growing. I tried to open one of these bad boys my tooth fell off,” she said with a laugh.

She flashed a smile for the camera showing off her whittled down tooth under her fallen veneer, still cracking up at the mishap.

“This is what moms do for their kids, so you can think you grew a candy cane,” Chrissy said. “I was trying to create magic — now I have no tooth. And tomorrow's the Winter Sing oh my God!”

The “Winter Sing” was her kids’ recital, which she gamely went to with her weird tooth gap, laughing that she “Had to go to recital like this.”

As a joke in the caption of the video, Chrissy added, “Merry chrithmath from our family to yours!!!!!!!”

And yes, Chrissy got her tooth fixed a few days later. She shared the procedure on her Instagram stories, writing, “We are back in business, shout out to the tooth goat,” referring to her long-time dentist Dr. Laurence Rifkin.
