PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (STORYFUL) -- Bruce Willis gave a less-than-stellar performance when he threw the first pitch at the Philadelphia Phillies game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday.

The crowd appeared to jeer and boo as Willis, wearing a No. 19 Phillies shirt, threw the ball to Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola, only to see it bounce in front of the home plate. However, the actor’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, later indicated on Twitter that she believed the crowd was actually shouting ‘Bruce.’

The first pitch proved to be a sign of things to come: the Phillies later lost 5-2 to the Brewers.
