What’s Happening This Season?

“Bridgerton” season 4 is giving major Cinderella vibes. Based on the third book in the series, “An Offer from a Gentleman,” the story will predominantly follow Benedict (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) after they meet at a masquerade ball.

“As a victim of tragic events, Sophie has been forced to spend much of her life working for the most demanding employer in the ton. But the resourceful Sophie always finds a way to persevere through her circumstances — circumstances which will drastically change after she disguises herself to attend Violet Bridgerton’s masquerade ball and meets Benedict,” says a description from Netflix’s Tudum.

Thompson also told the outlet the season will focus on "the struggle between a proper old-school fairy tale — the romance of it — and the actual reality of the world.”

Who’s New This Season?

In addition to Yerin Ha as Sophie, other newcomers this season include Michelle Mao as Rosamund Li, another competitor for Benedict’s affections, and Isabella Wei as her nicer sister, Posy Li. Katie Leung will play their mother, Araminta Gun, who is eager to see one of her daughters married off.

Who Else is in Season 4?

The Bridgertons are a big family, so expect a lot of them! We’ll be catching up with Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Bridgerton (Nicola Coughlan), formerly Featherington and still Lady Whistledown, who got together in season 3 and welcomed an adorable baby.

“Wicked” star Jonathan Bailey will also return as Anthony Bridgerton, along with wife Kate, played by Simone Ashley.

Other Bridgertons back in the mix are Violet (Ruth Gemmell), Eloise (Claudia Jessie), Francesca (Hannah Dodd), and her new husband, Lord John Stirling (Victor Alli), Hyacinth (Florence Hunt), and Gregory (Will Tilston).

The non-Bridgerton crew includes Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel), Portia Featherington (Polly Walker), and Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh).
