BALTIMORE (WBFF) – An online form to report sex offenses related to a case chronicled by “The Keepers” has been created by the Baltimore City Police Department.

The Netflix original documentary series, which premiered Friday, explores the cold case murder of Baltimore nun and teacher Sister Catherine Ann Cesnik. Cesnik was reported missing on Nov. 7, 1969 and her decomposing body was found in Lansdowne on Jan. 3, 1970. A former student at Archbishop Keough High School came forward in the 1990s claiming that she had confided in Cesnik, her teacher, about being sexually abused by a priest shortly before her disappearance.

The body of former priest Joseph Maskell was exhumed on Feb. 28, 2017, so that DNA could be compared to evidence gathered at the crime scene. Last week, two days before the Netflix series debuted, Baltimore County Police announced that Maskell's DNA was not a match.

On Tuesday, Baltimore City Police unveiled the online submission form, noting, “We have been contacted by victims from the past who want to report the sex offenses that occurred to them. The murder investigation related to this Netflix series was handled by the Baltimore County Police Department.”
