This past weekend, the Biltmore Estate received a visit from famous football player Travis Kelce's mother, Donna Kelce.

On Tuesday, Aug. 26, world-famous singer Taylor Swift posted on Instagram announcing her engagement to Kelce, saying, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married".

Since the engagement announcement and Donna Kelce's recent visit to the estate, many fans, and even North Carolina Governor Josh Stein, have hinted in comments that the estate would be a nice place for a wedding.

"Western NC is open for business (and a wonderful place for a wedding)!" Stein said in a repost of Donna Kelce's post of the Biltmore Estate.

Fans are even speculating that Donna Kelce's trip was to scout out wedding venues, as it was announced that the proposal took place nearly two weeks prior to the announcement.

One person commented, "Oh my gracious. If she was scouting [with multiple red heart emojis]".

Another person commented, "Yes!!! A great place for a wedding [with a purple heart emoji]."

The Biltmore Estate also commented on the governor's post.

"Thank you Governor Josh Stein! We couldn't agree more [with a smiley face emoji].

While the Biltmore Estate has not officially commented on Donna Kelce's trip to the estate, many continue to speculate.

News 13 has reached out for a statement.

"We're delighted to have welcomed Ms. Kelce to Biltmore! We have long been a beloved setting for proposals, weddings and romantic getaways. It's just the kind of place where special moments unfold. Our warmest congratulations to Travis and Taylor!" a Biltmore Estate spokesperson said.

The Biltmore Estate is seemingly playing into the speculation, posting a few wedding photos taken at the estate with Taylor Swift lyrics from the song Paper Rings as the caption.

“They’re high-profile people, they’re nationally, globally known. This is easily going to go into the millions because they’re going to have high-profile people come in, all their friends,” said Asheville event planner and owner of Forage and Grace, Jason Derevitsky.

Derevitsky's expects the event to be kept a secret, with non-disclosure agreements expected for everyone.

“They’re going to keep it secret right up until the day, as long as they can possibly do it,” Derevitsky said.

As for the buzz, the event planner said it couldn’t come at a better time.

“I will say, as an events planner, after the hurricane, it’s been dreadfully slow. I am usually way busier," Derevitsky said.

Also, when it comes to planning an event of this magnitude, Derevitsky knows contingency is key. But this one will probably require a backup plan for the backup plan.

“What if the weather’s bad? What’s plan B? What if a performer doesn’t arrive or arrives late? What’s the other plan?” Derevitsky said.

Watching these lovebirds walk down the aisle could mean waiting a while.

“They’re not planning this until next year, 100%. If a planner takes this on and they’re like, 'Let’s do it in six months.' No, thank you,” Derevitsky said with laughter.
