WASHINGTON (Circa) -- Two-thirds of Beyonce fans have never attended a music festival, according to a study from Nielsen Music released to The Wall Street Journal.
This stat may decrease after the Queen Bee performs at this year's Coachella Festival in Indio, Calif. Coachella is the highest grossing music festival in the United States.
Nielsen Music also found that the average Beyonce fan is seven years older than the average Coachella attendee. Most audience members, 64 percent, are millennials or teenagers vs. Beyonce fans who are typically in their 30's and 40's. MusicWatch says 24 percent of Beyonce's fans are between the ages of 35 and 44.
The firm predicts that the older demographic could help the festival because they're more willing to spend money than younger people. They also say that Beyonce fans are 14 percent more likely to follow the festival on social media which will help their digital footprint.
If you're not at Coachella, you'll be able to stream the festival via YouTube. Other artists performing include Tyler the Creator, the Weeknd, Vince Staples and Post Malone. The streaming service is expected to offer four different feeds of the festivities, according to Rolling Stone.
