2016 Los Angeles Auto Show: Star Wars goes Rogue with Nissan

Nissan Roguestar warsLOS ANGELES, Calif. — Nissan extensively redesigned the Rogue for the 2017 model year, giving it a sleeker exterior and adding a hybrid model to its stable for the first time. It’s a great vehicle with excellent driving dynamics and amazing interior comfort and quietness.
And now Nissan is tapping into Star Wars fans with a Rogue One Limited Edition. It is the first production vehicle to include Star Wars-branded elements via an exclusive relationship with Lucasfilms.
Nissan is only building 5,400 special edition units and they will be available as 2017 models.
Special features include:
- Signature LED headlights
- Black grille and lower finisher
- Black rear door finisher
- Black roof rails and door handles
- D-pillar “Rebel Alliance” and “Galactic Empire” logo decals
- Star Wars logo clear rear bumper protector
- Rogue One logo badging on the front doors
Oh, and did we mention the full-size Death Trooper collectible helmet that comes with the purchase?
The Rogue One Special Edition will be based on the SV trim with the Sun and Sound Touring Package. It will be available in both front- and all-wheel-drive models, and it only comes in two colors: Magnetic Black or Glacier White.
Rogue One is powered by a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder that delivers 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque.
The Rogue One package will cost $1,990, so the base price of the special edition model will be $29,890.
